This page provides DCNC ContentTitleText (CTT) sanity check service for those who create a DCP for theatrical distribution. Consistent naming of CTT may help theater operators to choose a right DCP. It is encouraged to see if the naming is conforming to DCNC before releasing.
Sanity check is performed by referencing ISDCF registries. Because of ad-hoc nature of DCNC, however, strict validation should not be expected. The result should be considered as informative and shall be used on your own responsibility.
Theatrical automation should rely on CPL Metadata when available. On the other hand, consistent naming of CTT is still valuable in territories SMPTE DCP is not popular yet.
Type or copy & paste ContentTitleText of a DCP in the form below, and then click sanity check button. ContentTitleText may be obtained from the file name of CPL, PKL (excluding file extension) or folder name of a DCP. The result will be populated in the table below.
When something is found as deviating from the DCNC, you will see some alert messages. It doesn’t necessarily mean your CTT is bad, but may possibly cause some confusion in theaters and need some additional support to clarify the usage of the DCP.
